Doha Festival City is strategically situated 15 km north of downtown Doha on the Al Shamal Road (North Road). - Residents have a high frequency of visiting shopping malls, on average over twice per week for expats, with the local population visiting three times per week
- Tourism has grown by 10% to 1.1 m in 2009 (from 2008)
- The new Doha International Airport with a capacity in 2011 of 29 m, will be fully functional in 2015 with 50 m passengers per year
